Dr. Woodtli graduated from the University of Lausanne, where he obtained his MD degree. He further pursued his doctoral thesis on “On the Classification of Acrocephalosyndactylies” at the University of Zurich in 1985. His expertise and dedication led to his recognition as a Swiss Neurosurgery Board member by FMH in 1992.
During his training, he had the privilege of working under the guidance of renowned experts such as Prof. Ch. Probst in Aarau, Prof. MG Yasargil in Zurich, and Mr. G McDonald / C Furneaux / E Mee in Auckland, New Zealand. Dr. Woodtli also completed a Skullbase Fellowship under the mentorship of Prof. Tator / Gentili at the University of Toronto from 1995 to 1997.
In 2004, Dr. Woodtli took on the role of Consultant Neurosurgeon at KFMMC in Dhahran, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. His expertise and skill in neurosurgery were highly valued during his extensive tenure there. In 2018, he joined KSGR in Chur, Switzerland, as a Consultant Neurosurgeon, where he continued to provide exceptional healthcare services. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Woodtli served as the Training Program Co-director at DHA Rashid in Dubai, UAE.
Dr. Woodtli is an esteemed member of various professional societies, including the French Argos Spine Society, North American Spine Society (NASS), and North American Skull Base Society. His scientific interest lies in the areas of acoustic neuromas, skull base surgery, and advanced spinal microsurgery. He has presented numerous papers at international conferences and has contributed to several books, showcasing his expertise and sharing his knowledge with fellow neurosurgeons.
